- This is our second year with IVHSA and we feel so lucky to have this option in our Valley. We have looked at other counties and school districts and haven't found anything comparable. This has been an excellent resource and option for my child and our family. The hands on experience and project based approach was beneficial to my child. Also, the customized and tailored education for each individual child to fit their needs has been of great benefit to not only my child, but to others. I wish every child had the opportunity this affords us. The passion and the engagement of the teachers and the environment the school offers is palpable and instrumental in fostering a love for learning and wonder in our child’s world. The children all work together and encourage each other and learn from each other above and beyond what can be found in any text book or standard curriculum. We started our child in a traditional school and it always felt like something was lacking. We walked in one day to check out IVHSA for the first time and I knew immediately that this was where we should be. Since enrolling my child at IVHSA we have watched her grow and blossom and take ownership of herself and her learning and life experience! It has been the best and most important and defining decision we have made for our child.
- IVHSA has been an awesome experience. We are a Military family and we love the flexibility. IVHSA focuses on the quality time versus the amount of time spent with children. My children know for certain that they will have a hands-on workshop each time they are at IVHSA.
- Imperial Valley Home School Academy is the perfect fit for my family. With our four kids in grades Kinder-5th Grade, it’s important for me to have an organized system. I love the simplicity of the monthly work plans. It’s an easy program that allows me to incorporate and/or substitute any other curriculum that will benefit my children. The workshops allow the kids to engage with other students and work in a traditional classroom setting. The support we receive as a family from the staff and other families, has given us the encouragement and motivation we need to get through the year. We are so blessed to have the opportunity to be 100% involved in our children’s education. IVHSA makes that possible.

We love the flexibility of being able to take an active role in the education of our children, and we appreciate the support and amenities of the El Centro Unified School District. - IVHSA does an incredible job of providing structure to home school parents, helping us keep our children "on track" to a high level of academic achievement. It is not a "one size fits all" program, rather parents can shape the curriculum to best meet their child's needs. The workshops are an excellent supplement to their studies; where learning comes alive & the children have an opportunity to interact socially.
- The choice to homeschool was an easy one when we discovered IVHSA. With IVHSA, we get the perfect combination of excellent workshops, field trips, and teacher support along with the traditional homeschool experience. We love IVHSA and wouldn't consider homeschooling without their help and support. IVHSA feels very much like a family to us!

What I like most about the home school is I’ve had experiences I’ve never had before. I’ve had fun field trips, both educational ones and just for fun ones. We’ve had fun projects and lots of hands on science. The teachers are nice and I’ve met new friends. I know I’m really responsible for my own learning. I work really hard to get things done and learn a lot.
